11th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD2018)

11th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD2018)

September 25 – 29, 2017
Chania, Creta

This is the 11th meeting after the successful organization of the 1st AACD (1998) in Izmir, Turkey, the 2nd AACD (2000) in Ayvalik, Turkey, the 3rd AACD (2002) in Lesvos, Greece, the 4th AACD (2004) in Kuşadası, Turkey, the 5th AACD (2006) in Thessaloniki, Greece, the 6th AACD (2008) in Denizli, Turkey, the 7th AACD (2010) in Lesvos, Greece and the 8th AACD (2012) in Urla, Izmir, Turkey, the 9th AACD (2014) in Chios, Greece and the 10th AACD (2016) in Çanakkale, Turkey.
Since the first event in Izmir 1998, many analytical chemists from all over the world, have also attended these biennial conferences. The statistical distribution of those participated in the previous six events showed that the AACD conferences have become an international event, widely accepted as a forum for:

  • presenting new trends and developments in analytical chemistry
  • discussing new applications of environmental, food and industrial analysis with a special emphasis to quality aspects
  • promoting the presentation of young scientists’ research
  • exchanging ideas and promoting collaborations for joint research projects

The 11th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD2018) will be organized in Chania, Crete. Crete is the second largest island of Greece and Chania is the second largest city of the island.
Chania is connected by ferryboat from Piraeus (Athens) as well by airplane from Athens and Thessaloniki. There are many also flights from most European destinations.
Internationally recognized invited speakers will give Plenary and Keynote Lectures. The organizers will prepare a balanced programme with oral communications of studies of general interest and novelty and young scientists’ contributions, along with thematic poster sessions.
During the 11th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD2018) emphasis will be given to the following scientific subjects:

  • Analytical Chemistry & Nanoscience
  • Archaeometry
  • Atomic and Molecular Spectrometry
  • Bioelectrochemistry and Biomedical Applications
  • Biochemical and Clinical Analysis
  • Chemometrics
  • Chromatography and Separation Techniques
  • Electroanalysis
  • Electrochemical Sensors and Biosensors
  • Environmental Analysis
  • Food Analysis
  • Forensic Analysis
  • Hyphenated techniques
  • Mass Spectrometry
  • Pharmaceutical Analysis
  • Quality control / Quality assurance and Chemical Metrology
  • Sample Preparation
  • Speciation
  • Surface Characterization Techniques

The organizing committee is pleased to invite you to participate in the 11th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days and enjoy with us the stimulating scientific programme and a wonderful social programme.

7th European Food Safety & Standards Conference

7th European Food Safety & Standards Conference

13-14 November 2017
Wyndham Grand Athens
2 Meg. Alexandrou Str., 10437

Why to attend???
Euro Food Safety mainly focuses on Foodborne illness continues to be an urgent issue across the world. In fact, the CDC estimates that each year roughly 48 million people get sick, 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die of foodborne diseases. The Food Safety and Inspection Service educates consumers about the importance of safe food handling and how to reduce the risk associated with foodborne illness for future generation and aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results. Euro Food Safety aims to promote various researches on food safety among scientists, academia and industries.
With the presence of highly affiliated personalities, researchers, scientists around the globe focused on food production, this conference is providing the platform for learning and sharing the new developments in this field. This is the place to meet the current and potential speakers and receive the name recognition.
Target Audience including Presidents, Vice presidents, Directors, Academicians, Researchers, Scientists, Business Delegates, Experts, Departmental managers, Professors and students from Academia

Athens International Catalysis Symposium (AICS 2016)

Athens International Catalysis Symposium (AICS 2016)

3-4 November 2016
University of Athens (Aristotle Hall)

The scientific/organizing committees are happy and proud to invite you to attend the “Athens International Catalysis Symposium” (AICS 2016) which will take place in Athens on 3-4 November, 2016. The symposium is organized by the Department of Chemistry of the University of Athens and it will take place at the campus of the University of Athens (Aristotle Hall).

The general theme of the conference will be the science and the applications of catalysis covering a wide spectrum of topics. The most recent, cutting-edge research on a broad range of topics in the area of catalysis will be presented by leading international experts. It is our intention to bring together all the researchers working on catalysis in Greece and establish an inspiring atmosphere for fruitful scientific discussions and for initiating new collaborations.

Joint EMLG/JMLG Annual Meeting 2016

 11 – 16 Σεπτεμβρίου 2016
Πλατανιάς – Χανιά

The European Molecular Liquids Group (EMLG) and the Japanese Molecular Liquids Group (JMLG) are interdisciplinary research groups focusing on the molecular aspects of fluids in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The European Group was founded in 1982 and was joined by the Japanese group in 1996. Annual meetings have been organized since 1982 in different countries with varying focus in order to cooperate internationally and to coordinate research activities in the field.  This year EMLG/JMLG conference in Chania-Crete-Greece is aimed to present overview lectures on various relevant fields form the most recent experimental methods, analytical-statistical mechanics theoretical approaches, molecular simulation techniques, as well as possible physicochemical applications. The present meeting covers a broad range of topics with an emphasis on:

Liquids (pure and solutions)
Supercritical fluids
Complex liquid systems

The conference includes plenary lectures, oral contributions and a poster session of studies selected among submitted abstracts.
